Mauve, White and Black Wedding Reception

After saying, “I do” at their local church, Olivia, Ivan, and their wedding party, headed to the Rose Center for cocktail hour. Upon arrival, guests signed a small heart and guest book puzzle at the welcome table and grabbed a drink in the courtyard. The bar was serving up the newlyweds signature drinks, a Melon Margarita and Mojito along with staples like wine and beer. To ensure no guest went hungry, Filet & Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Chicken Jalapeño Empanadas were tray passed. While everyone was mixing and mingling, the bride and groom wandered around the venue for newlywed portraits, then hid away for their reception entrance as cocktail hour came to a close.

A black and white seating chart in the courtyard displayed the name of each guest and their corresponding table number. Inside, tables were draped in white and black linens to match the wedding color scheme. Pink and white floral centerpieces were arranged at different heights and gold candles added a flickering of light at each tablescape. Mauve napkins and black plates completed the reception setup. Once everyone had taken a seat, the bride and groom made their grand entrance. Everyone cheered as Olivia snapped some instant film photos of Ivan during their big reveal, then the two transitioned into their first dance. Afterwards, the bride and groom thanked everyone for coming to celebrate their special day, then dinner was served. Zucchini Lime Chicken, Penne Alla Checca, Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Marinated Vegetables, and Pear & Walnut Salad were enjoyed while friends and family shared toasts. The wedding menu was hand selected by Olivia and Ivan with help from our Event Specialist, Arielle, during their planning process. Rave reviews were shared around each table as guests finished their plates, and just in time for dessert! A 3-tier white and marble cake with chocolate Bavarian filling, raspberry creme filling, and cappuccino creme filling was cut and served to guests with a sweet tooth. The bouquet and garter toss were next and drew laughs from the crowd. With all wedding traditions complete, everyone made their way to the dance floor to show off their best moves. A live band excited the crowd and serenaded the bride and groom and their guests well into the evening. The wedding ended with a big group photo and heartfelt goodbyes.
